........And though my Lord has taken my grandmother home to be with Him on June 6, 2012, He has blessed me with my sweet and precious newborn, Ruby Esther Ebanks born on June 4, 2012. Thank You, Lord for her! : )

Celebrating the Life of my grandmother, Etta Blanche Barrett
February 25, 1921- June 6, 2012
Psalm 116:15 says "Precious in the sight of The Lord is the death of His saints."

My Grandmother, Etta Blanche Barrett had went home to be with the Lord. She is now resting in the loving arms of Jesus. Yesterday, her life was celebrated at her funeral on June 23, 2012 held at Full Gospel Church of God in Brooklyn, New York. Like my family and others, I had sweet memories of her, and her legacy from February 25, 1921- June 6, 2012 was a great one (Glory be unto God). My grandmother had made several major accomplishments in her lifetime, but the greatest one was that of being a BORN AGAIN BELIEVER. Jesus was her all in all. Her hope was built on nothing less than Jesus blood and His righteousness.
My grandmother leaves behind her beloved husband for almost 69 years, Charles, four sons: James, Willard, Stuart and Jeffrey; seven daughters: Syslin, Delores, Vinnette, Marcia, Clover, Cynthia, and Pauline; four sons-in-laws: Oscar, Ellerton, John, and Horrace; two daughter-in-laws: Annette and Patricia; 27 grand children, 10 great grand children, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, her Faith Redeeming Church family, and a multitude of all other children and friends who affectionately called her "MAMA." However, she's now with her beloved son, John in Heaven.
Grandma's life was productive, fruitful, and rich in every way. Like what was said about her at her funeral, her radiant smile, amazing beauty, towering strength, courage, and unwavering faith will forever be etched in our memories. She is gone but she will never be forgotten. A life well lived to the Glory of God!    : )
